Compared to two weeks ago, steer calves under 350 lbs not well tested; 350-400 lbs were 10.00 higher; 400-450 lbs 10.00-12.00 lower; 500600 lbs steady to 3.00 higher. Heifer calves were steady to 4.00 higher, with the exception of 450-500 lbs trading 2.00 lower. Feeder steers sold steady to 2.00 higher, with 650-700 lbs 8.00 higher. Feeder heifers sold 10.00-17.00 higher on comparable sales. Trade moderate to active, demand moderate to good. Slaughter cows steady to 5.00 higher. Slaughter bulls steady.
Supply included: 91% Feeder Cattle (51% Steers, 47% Heifers, 1% Bulls); 5% Slaughter Cattle (86% Cows, 14% Bulls); 4% Replacement Cattle (84% Bred Cows, 8% Bred Heifers, 8% CowCalf Pairs). Feeder cattle supply over 600 lbs was 29%.
