Market Notes

Compared to last week, slaughter cows sold uneven. Breaking cows sold 9.00 to 11.00 higher. Boning cows sold 2.00 to 4.00 higher. Lean cows sold steady to 1.00 lower. No comparison is available for slaughter bulls due to a light number of receipts this week, however a strong undertone was noted. Buyer demand for the slaughter cow and bull sale was moderate for a moderate sale supply.

Supply included: 100% Slaughter Cattle (98% Cows, 2% Bulls). AUCTION This Week Last Reported 2/22/2022 Last Year Total Receipts: 215 633 602 Slaughter Cattle: 215(100.0%) 227(35.9%) 230(38.2%) Feeder Dairy Calves: 0(0.0%) 406(64.1%) 372(61.8%)
