Compared to last week, boning type slaughter cows were steady to 1.00 lower, while breaking type slaughter cows were 2.00 to 3.00 higher and slaughter bulls were 1.00 to 2.00 higher. Feeder steers were mostly 6.00 to 9.00 lower; heifers were mostly 1.00 to 6.00 lower; and feeder bull were mostly 1.00 to 5.00 lower. Demand , market activity, and buyer interest were mostly moderate. Offerings of cattle were light to moderate. Cattle quality was mostly average. Baby calves ranged 30.00 to 60.00 per head; "by the head" calves were 80.00 to 400.00 per head.
Supply included: 62% Feeder Cattle (22% Steers, 1% Dairy Steers, 46% Heifers, 31% Bulls, 0% Dairy Heifers); 21% Slaughter Cattle (86% Cows, 14% Bulls); 2% Replacement Cattle (38% Bred Cows, 1% Bred Heifers, 61% Cow-Calf Pairs); 5% Slaughter Sheep/Lambs (4% Shorn, 5% Wooled, 73% Hair Breeds, 5% Ewes, 2% Hair Ewes, 10% Bucks); 10% Slaughter Goats (66% Kids, 19% Nannies/Does, 10% Bucks/Billies, 4% Wethers). Feeder cattle supply over 600 lbs was 22%.
