Compared to last week: Feeder steers and heifers sold 3.00-5.00 higher with improved demand. Steer and heifer calves unevenly steady. Demand moderate to good for calves. Some sale barns reporting an increased number of new crop calves. Weather has turned unseasonably cool and in the mid 50's to 60's where normal is near 80. That pattern is expected to change this week and storms chances are in the forecast for most everyday of the week.

Supply included: 88% Feeder Cattle (52% Steers, 46% Heifers, 2% Bulls); 8% Slaughter Cattle (88% Cows, 12% Bulls); 4% Replacement Cattle (16% Stock Cows, 55% Bred Cows, 1% Bred Heifers, 28% Cow-Calf Pairs). Feeder cattle supply over 600 lbs was 76%.
