North Dakota Weekly Cattle Auction Summary

Archived Report

12/18/2021

Total Run: 12,355

Market Notes

Compared to last week: Feeder steers steady to 5.00 lower, heifers 2.00 lower, except 500-650 lbs 2.00 to 6.00 higher. Good demand remains for all weights of feeder steers and heifers. Of the reported auctions in North Dakota, they will not hold feeder cattle sales until the start of the New Year. The cash cattle market pulled back below 140.00, but still remains positive to the futures contract, which caused cattle feeders to slow down in their pursuit of feeder cattle. This report will not be released again until Jan 10, 2022.

Supply included: 100% Feeder Cattle (60% Steers, 40% Heifers, 0% Bulls). Feeder cattle supply over 600 lbs was 41%.
