Market Notes

Compared to last week: Steer calves 400 - 450 lb, 5.00 higher; 450 to 600 lbs steady to 2.00 higher, 600 - 650 lbs, 5.00 higher. Heifer calves under 550 lbs, 10.00 to 15.00 higher; over 550 lbs, steady to 3.00 higher. Yearling feeder steers and heifers, not enough numbers to develop a market comparison. Very good demand for this nice offering of calves, with several large packages and load lots. Most of the offerings were preconditioned, with at least spring shots, but many also had fall shots. Market activity was good, with active buyers in the seats and on the internet. Next week includes two spring calf sales, with a Spring Calf Special on Wednesday, October 26th, and another on Friday, October 28th.

Supply included: 100% Feeder Cattle (56% Steers, 44% Heifers). Feeder cattle supply over 600 lbs was 20%. AUCTION This Week Last Reported 10/14/2022 Last Year Total Receipts: 6,180 4,410 10,006 Feeder Cattle: 6,180(100.0%) 4,410(100.0%) 10,006(100.0%)
