Market Notes

Compared to two weeks ago: best test on steers 850 to 900 lbs 10.00 to 12.00 higher, 901 to 950 lbs 4.00 to 7.00 higher. Heifers not well compared today. Good to very good demand for today's offering predominately made up of loads and strings which sold on an active market. Flesh varied, from light to moderate plus, with many of these cattle coming off grass. Quality mostly average to attractive today. Drought conditions persist throughout the area with no moisture in the fore cast and very hot temperatures all week and expected next week. Crop and grass conditions are rapidly deteriorating. Besides the poor grazing conditions this season, many producers are worried about getting enough feed together for winter as well. Next feeder cattle sale is Friday, July 30.

Supply included: 100% Feeder Cattle (78% Steers, 22% Heifers). Feeder cattle supply over 600 lbs was 99%. AUCTION This Week Last Reported 7/9/2021 Last Year Total Receipts: 3,041 2,185 0 Feeder Cattle: 3,041(100.0%) 2,185(100.0%) 0(0.0%)
