Compared to last week: best test on steers 750 to 800 lbs and 850 to 900 lbs mostly steady, other weight classes of steers not well compared. Best test on heifers 600 to 700 lbs steady to 3.00 lower, other weight classes of heifers not well compared. Good to very good demand for today's offering of packages and loads of home raised cattle as well as a couple strings of backgrounded cattle. Flesh mostly moderate to moderate plus today with some heavy flesh seen at times. Quality varied a bit more than last week, from plain to attractive today. This area did not get the snow last week that other parts of the state did so lot condition remain dry and the cattle are clean hided and open haired. An active market for this offering despite another day of losses on the feeder and live cattle futures. Next feeder cattle sale is Friday, March 26.
