Compared to last week: steers 550 to 850 lbs mostly steady with instances up to 3.00 higher on 600 to 650 lbs and up to 5.00 higher on 750 to 800 lbs, 851 to 900 lbs 3.00 to 5.00 lower. Heifers 550 to 800 lbs mostly steady except 600 to 650 lbs 2.00 to 3.00 lower. Good to very good demand for this large offering of packages, loads, and a few strings of both home raised and backgrounded cattle. Light fleshed cattle suitable for summer grass and replacement quality heifers saw the best demand. Varied flesh today, from light to moderate plus with some heavy flesh at times. Quality varied more than last week, most cattle average to attractive in quality. An active market at the beginning of the sale and becoming more moderate as the sale progressed. Many buyers and farmer feeders in attendance today. Next feeder cattle sale is Friday, March 5.
