Compared to last week: Feeder steers from 550 lbs to 649 lbs were 3.00 to 6.00 higher, steers from 650 lbs to 699 lbs and 750 lbs to 799 lbs were 4.00 to 8.00 lower, steers from 700 lbs to 749 lbs were mostly steady to 2.00 higher; heifers 600 lbs to 649 lbs were 6.00 to 8.00 higher, heifers from 650 lbs to 699 lbs were steady to 2.00 lower, no other comparisons available. Good to very good demand for all classes of cattle today. Several opportunities to buy multiple loads of the same sort of one owner's cattle. Plenty of part loads and packages offered buyers the opportunity to put loads together. An active to very active market today with mostly order buyers and internet buyers procuring cattle. Flesh conditions ranged from light fleshed hay cattle to moderate plus coming out of grow yards. A nice selection of replacement heifers were met with very good demand. Next feeder sale will be Friday, February 25th. Stay warm and eat beef.
