Market Notes

Compared to last week: Feeder steers were mostly steady to 5.00 higher with some instances of quaility, weaned steers as much as 15.00 higher. Feeder heifers traded traded 2.00 to 7.00 higher. Slaughter cows retrieved some of the previous week's losses at 4.00 to 7.00 higher. Slaughter bulls did the same by trending 4.00 to 7.00 higher on a light supply. Supply on feeders and stockers was good and demand was good to strong on quality cattle.

Supply included: 83% Feeder Cattle (30% Steers, 48% Heifers, 22% Bulls); 10% Slaughter Cattle (80% Cows, 20% Bulls); 6% Replacement Cattle (25% Stock Cows, 66% Bred Cows, 9% Cow-Calf Pairs). Feeder cattle supply over 600 lbs was 11%.
