Market Notes

Compared to last week: Feeder steers and and heifers were steady to uneven on a light test. Slaughter cows and bulls were mostly steady. Supply was light with an unexpected flash folood event in the area on the previous day. Demand was good on quality weaned cattle as always.

Supply included: 88% Feeder Cattle (43% Steers, 51% Heifers, 6% Bulls); 7% Slaughter Cattle (77% Cows, 23% Bulls); 5% Replacement Cattle (96% Bred Cows, 4% Cow-Calf Pairs). Feeder cattle supply over 600 lbs was 10%.
