Compared to last week, Feeder steers under 500 lbs were mostly steady on limited comparisons from last weeks short supply. There were not enough steers over 500 lbs from last week to compare to this week. Heifers over 500 lbs traded steady with lower undertones noted. Heifers over 500 lbs were 1.00 to 3.00 higher with the fleshy un-weaned cattle taking a discount. Feeder bulls showed good gains compared to last weeks short supply with 5.00 to 10.00 gains with good buyer support. Slaughter cows were 3.00 to 7.00 higher and slaughter bulls traded 1.00 to 5.00 higher.

Supply included: 86% Feeder Cattle (35% Steers, 43% Heifers, 21% Bulls); 8% Slaughter Cattle (74% Cows, 26% Bulls); 5% Replacement Cattle (52% Bred Cows, 7% Bred Heifers, 41% Cow-Calf Pairs). Feeder cattle supply over 600 lbs was 30%.
