Market Notes
Compared to last week: Feeder steers under 650 lbs mostly 2.00-5.00 higher except the better 350-450 lbs 5.00-6.00 lower with the full advance on weaned calves. Not enough over 650 lbs last week for a trend. The offering included several loads of 700-800 lb yearling steers that sold well. Feeder heifers 1.00-9.00 higher mostly 1.00-4.00 higher except the better 350-450 lbs 6.00-7.00 lower. Supply heavy and demand good on the weaned cattle. Cows and bulls not reported due to time limits.
Supply included: 93% Feeder Cattle (65% Steers, 29% Heifers, 6% Bulls); 6% Slaughter Cattle (100% Cows); 1% Replacement Cattle (100% Bred Cows). Feeder cattle supply over 600 lbs was 51%.
