Compared to last week: Feeder steers sold 8.00 - 15.00 higher. Feeder heifers sold 5.00 - 11.00 higher. Slaughter cows sold 1.00 - 7.00 lower. Slaughter bulls sold mostly steady to 7.00 higher on a meager test. In conjunction with the regular sale, value added cattle was also offered. Some value added cattle sold at a premium. Supply was very good, as well as demand.
Supply included: 93% Feeder Cattle (39% Steers, 46% Heifers, 16% Bulls); 5% Slaughter Cattle (78% Cows, 23% Bulls); 2% Replacement Cattle (30% Stock Cows, 65% Bred Cows, 5% Cow-Calf Pairs). Feeder cattle supply over 600 lbs was 21%.
