Market Notes

Compared to last week: Feeder steers sold 1.00 - 12.00 higher. Feeder heifers sold mostly steady to 8.00 higher. Slaughter cows sold 1.00 - 12.00 higher. Slaughter bulls sold on average 10.00 higher. Cattle was fair to average with some groupings of feeder cattle that sold above average. Today, in conjunction with the regular sale a few herd sale outs were offered. The market was strong with good buyer activity for feeder, replacement and slaughter offerings.

Supply included: 65% Feeder Cattle (34% Steers, 33% Heifers, 33% Bulls); 18% Slaughter Cattle (86% Cows, 14% Bulls); 18% Replacement Cattle (17% Stock Cows, 43% Bred Cows, 40% Cow-Calf Pairs, 1% Bulls). Feeder cattle supply over 600 lbs was 4%.
