Compared to last week, feeder steers were mostly steady, and feeder heifers were unevenly steady with instances of 2.00 higher to 2.00 lower. Offerings of feeder cattle this week were moderate with mostly average to high quality. Buyers were keenly interested in cattle that were long-weaned (45+ days) and preconditioned. Slaughter cows were mostly steady to 2.00 lower, and slaughter bulls were mostly steady with mostly moderate demand for slaughter classes.

Supply included: 80% Feeder Cattle (34% Steers, 43% Heifers, 23% Bulls); 16% Slaughter Cattle (89% Cows, 11% Bulls); 4% Replacement Cattle (12% Stock Cows, 67% Bred Cows, 3% Bred Heifers, 18% Cow-Calf Pairs). Feeder cattle supply over 600 lbs was 32%.
