Compared to last week, breaker and boning cows gauging 3.00 to 6.00 higher overall with lean cows and slaughter bulls sharply higher. No comparisons available for feeder classes due to limited comparable receipts, but it was noted that feeder cattle offerings were predominantly poor quality and therefore in light demand.
Supply included: 43% Feeder Cattle (5% Steers, 45% Heifers, 45% Bulls, 5% Dairy Heifers); 56% Slaughter Cattle (88% Cows, 12% Bulls); 1% Replacement Cattle (100% Cow-Calf Pairs). Feeder cattle supply over 600 lbs was 18%.
