Compared to last week, feeder steers were unevenly steady with instances of 3.00 higher to 3.00 lower; feeder heifers were mostly steady to 1.00 higher. Demand was good with buyers showing a high interest in weaned and vaccinated cattle. Slaughter cows and bulls were mostly steady to 1.00 higher. Trends for feeder and slaughter cattle this week based on a lighter test than the previous week.

Supply included: 79% Feeder Cattle (45% Steers, 36% Heifers, 19% Bulls, 0% Dairy Heifers); 15% Slaughter Cattle (85% Cows, 15% Bulls); 6% Replacement Cattle (3% Stock Cows, 64% Bred Cows, 5% Bred Heifers, 26% Cow-Calf Pairs, 1% Bulls). Feeder cattle supply over 600 lbs was 40%.
