Compared to last week, slaughter steers were 2.00 to 4.00 higher and slaughter heifers 4.00 to 5.00 higher with good quality steers and heifers and active buyer participation. Holstein slaughter steers were 1.00 higher. Cows were 3.00 to 7.00 higher and bulls 6.00 higher with active bidding on cows and bulls. today. Feeder calves were too few last week to compare but trending higher with good buyer interest today.

Supply included: 27% Feeder Cattle (42% Steers, 2% Dairy Steers, 38% Heifers, 19% Bulls); 73% Slaughter Cattle (33% Steers, 2% Dairy Steers, 39% Heifers, 21% Cows, 5% Bulls). Feeder cattle supply over 600 lbs was 35%.
