Compared to last week, slaughter steers were 1.00 to 4.00 lower and slaughter heifers were 1.00 to 3.00 lower with lower packer inquiry this week. Holstein slaughter steers were 3.00 lower today. Cows were 4.00 to 5.00 lower but good value on high dressing breaker cows and bull instances of higher/lower. Feeder steers were trending higher with feeder heifers and bulls sharply higher with a good offering of value added and fancy type feeders this week.

Supply included: 25% Feeder Cattle (14% Steers, 54% Heifers, 32% Bulls); 75% Slaughter Cattle (41% Steers, 7% Dairy Steers, 28% Heifers, 19% Cows, 5% Bulls). Feeder cattle supply over 600 lbs was 42%.
