Compared to last week, feeder steers less than 800 lbs sold on a light test though a firm undertone was noted, while those over 800 lbs sold 4.00 to 6.00 higher. Feeder heifers less than 500 lbs sold on a light test though a firm undertone was noted, while those over 500 lbs sold 1.00 to 4.00 higher. Slaughter cows sold 2.00 to 5.00 lower. Slaughter bulls sold 4.00 to 5.00 higher. Buyer attendance and demand was good.
Supply included: 92% Feeder Cattle (49% Steers, 51% Heifers); 7% Slaughter Cattle (89% Cows, 11% Bulls); 1% Replacement Cattle (68% Stock Cows, 32% Bred Cows). Feeder cattle supply over 600 lbs was 75%.
