Compared to last week, feeder steers and heifers overall sold uneven, 1.00 lower to 3.00 higher. Slaughter cows sold sharply higher. Slaughter bulls sold steady to 2.00 higher. Demand was reported as moderate to good throughout the state. Compared to last week, fed slaughter steers and heifers in the feed yards sold 1.00 lower at 163.00. In the hay market, demand remains good, prices remained steady, trade activity was slow. Contributors report that new hay sales continue to be slow as there is not much out there to buy. Concerns remain high for this year's hay crop, due to the lack of precipitation.

Supply included: 80% Feeder Cattle (56% Steers, 44% Heifers, 0% Bulls); 6% Slaughter Cattle (90% Cows, 10% Bulls); 14% Replacement Cattle (23% Stock Cows, 52% Bred Cows, 3% Bred Heifers, 16% Cow-Calf Pairs, 4% Heifer Pairs, 2% Bulls). Feeder cattle supply over 600 lbs was 54%.
