Compared to last week, feeder steers under 600 lbs sold on a light test with a weak undertone noted; over 600 lbs steady to 3.00 higher. Feeder heifers under 500 lbs sold 5.00 to 6.00 higher; 500 to 600 lbs 7.00 to 8.00 lower; over 600 lbs 1.00 to 3.00 higher. Slaughter cows sold uneven; breakers 7.00 to 8.00; boners and leans 13.00 to 14.00 higher. Slaughter bulls sold 7.00 to 8.00 higher. Demand was good. Compared to last week, fed slaughter steers and heifers in the feedyards sold 2.00 lower at 135.00. Compared to the last report, overall alfalfa and grass hay were mostly steady. Movement remains slow.

Supply included: 84% Feeder Cattle (65% Steers, 34% Heifers, 1% Bulls); 15% Slaughter Cattle (93% Cows, 7% Bulls); 2% Replacement Cattle (12% Bred Cows, 88% Cow-Calf Pairs). Feeder cattle supply over 600 lbs was 81%.
