Compared to last week, feeder steers 800-950 lbs sold steady to 1 lower, All other weights not enough comparison for an accurate market trend, higher undertone noted. All weights of heifers not enough comparison for an accurate market trend, higher undertone noted. Demand was moderate to good. Slaughter cows sold 3.00 to 4.00 higher and bulls sold steady. Hay market prices were steady for alfalfa and mostly steady for grass hay while demand remains good. A stalled frontal boundary brought widespread rain to the region with the largest totals, 2 to 8-plus inches, falling over eastern Kansas and eastern Nebraska, decreasing drought category percentages.

Supply included: 95% Feeder Cattle (45% Steers, 55% Heifers, 0% Bulls); 5% Slaughter Cattle (92% Cows, 8% Bulls); 1% Replacement Cattle (100% Bred Cows). Feeder cattle supply over 600 lbs was 82%.
