Compared to last week, steers and heifers sold 2.00 to 4.00 lower. Many load lots of steers and heifers coming off wheat this week. Hay market prices were steady for all hay types and demand remains strong for alfalfa, although now that we have warmer weather, the urgency has lessened. This week's negotiated cash sales of fed cattle in the Southern Plains reported at 114.00.

Supply included: 97% Feeder Cattle (63% Steers, 37% Heifers, 0% Bulls); 2% Slaughter Cattle (81% Cows, 19% Bulls); 1% Replacement Cattle (76% Bred Cows, 19% Bred Heifers, 5% Cow-Calf Pairs). Feeder cattle supply over 600 lbs was 85%.
