Compared to last week: Feeder steers and heifers sold 2.00 to 6.00 lower. Trade activity was light to moderate on moderate demand. Unweaned and nonvaccinated calves taking a heavier discount as we move into the cooler Fall months. Slaughter cow and bulls were 1.00 to 2.00 lower.Supply included: 78% Feeder Cattle (62% Steers, 2% Dairy Steers, 30% Heifers, 5% Bulls, 1% Dairy Heifers); 17% Slaughter Cattle (92% Cows, 8% Bulls); 4% Replacement Cattle (73% Stock Cows, 20% Bred Cows, 7% Cow-Calf Pairs). Feeder cattle supply over 600 lbs was 60%.
