Compared to last week, based on few comparable sales, steers sold with a lower undertone and heifers sold steady to 5.00 lower with the heifer calves under 525 lbs being what held mostly steady. Demand was moderate. Mostly un-weaned new crop calves were offered that were good quality but carrying some flesh, along with a few groups of plainer type yearlings. Corn has been sharply higher and cattle futures sharply lower this week. Supply was moderate. Slaughter cows sold steady to 2.00 higher.

Supply included: 79% Feeder Cattle (43% Steers, 44% Heifers, 13% Bulls); 18% Slaughter Cattle (94% Cows, 6% Bulls); 3% Replacement Cattle (100% Stock Cows). Feeder cattle supply over 600 lbs was 22%.
