Compared to last week, based on a light test of comparable sales, steers sold steady to 5.00 lower, however the best test was on the 700-750 lb weight range and those sold firm. Heifers sold uneven as well with those under 550 lbs steady to 5.00 lower but the best test was on the 550-625 lb weight range selling 5.00 higher. Overall, the quality was uneven this week with several bulls and smaller groups and demand followed along from from mostly moderate to good for the higher quality cattle. Supply was moderate and included a video sale of 250 head of 740 lbs heifers. Slaughter cows sold mostly 2.00-3.00 lower, except lean cows steady. Slaughter bulls traded steady.

Supply included: 89% Feeder Cattle (37% Steers, 49% Heifers, 14% Bulls); 10% Slaughter Cattle (59% Cows, 41% Bulls); 1% Replacement Cattle (100% Stock Cows). Feeder cattle supply over 600 lbs was 36%.
