Market Notes

Compared to last week slaughter cows were higher 2-8. Bulls sold steady. Feeder steers sold mixed 7 higher to 3 lower. Heifers also sold mixed higher 4 to lower 3. Quality, value added calves brought strong prices.

Supply included: 84% Feeder Cattle (41% Steers, 40% Heifers, 19% Bulls); 12% Slaughter Cattle (88% Cows, 12% Bulls); 4% Replacement Cattle (15% Stock Cows, 82% Bred Cows, 3% Cow-Calf Pairs). Feeder cattle supply over 600 lbs was 22%.
