Market Notes
Compared to last week feeder steers sold steady to $5 higher. Feeder heifers were steady. Slaughter cows were higher $6-10. Bulls sold higher $10-11. Demand was good with group cattle doing very well.
Supply included: 87% Feeder Cattle (42% Steers, 40% Heifers, 17% Bulls); 11% Slaughter Cattle (80% Cows, 20% Bulls); 2% Replacement Cattle (18% Stock Cows, 55% Bred Cows, 27% Cow-Calf Pairs). Feeder cattle supply over 600 lbs was 18%.
