Compared to last week: No trend on feeder cattle due to lack of comparable receipts. The bulk of feeders traded today were Red Tag cattle (Value Added), a higher undertone was noted. Slaughter cows and bulls traded unevenly steady with quality not as attractive as last week.
Supply included: 89% Feeder Cattle (54% Steers, 40% Heifers, 5% Bulls); 7% Slaughter Cattle (81% Cows, 19% Bulls); 4% Replacement Cattle (60% Bred Cows, 13% Bred Heifers, 27% Cow-Calf Pairs). Feeder cattle supply over 600 lbs was 27%.
