Compared to last week, feeder steers were unevenly steady, and feeder heifers were mostly steady to 2.00 higher. Demand for feeders was mostly moderate with buyers showing the most interest in long-weaned (45+ days), preconditioned cattle. Slaughter cows were mostly 2.003.00 higher, and slaughter bulls mostly 2.00 higher with good demand for slaughter classes. Receipts overall were lighter this week due to winter weather that hampered livestock movement throughout the state.

Supply included: 86% Feeder Cattle (44% Steers, 2% Dairy Steers, 43% Heifers, 11% Bulls); 10% Slaughter Cattle (0% Steers, 81% Cows, 19% Bulls); 3% Replacement Cattle (7% Stock Cows, 72% Bred Cows, 5% Bred Heifers, 15% Cow-Calf Pairs, 2% Bulls). Feeder cattle supply over 600 lbs was 58%.
