Compared to last week feeder steers and heifers sold unevenly steady to begin the week with prices ranging mostly 2.00 lower to 2.00 higher. As the week progressed, trends moved up finishing mostly 2.00 to 6.00 higher. Demand was good to very good with good offerings and good buyer activity. Buyers showed best interest for weaned thin-fleshed steers and heifers suitable for grass. Yearlings sold 5.00 to 10.00 higher with very good demand. Slaughter cows and bulls were unevenly steady throughout the week with good demand.

Supply included: 83% Feeder Cattle (39% Steers, 1% Dairy Steers, 45% Heifers, 16% Bulls, 0% Dairy Heifers); 12% Slaughter Cattle (1% Steers, 0% Heifers, 81% Cows, 17% Bulls); 5% Replacement Cattle (2% Stock Cows, 58% Bred Cows, 8% Bred Heifers, 29% Cow-Calf Pairs, 1% Heifer Pairs, 2% Bulls). Feeder cattle supply over 600 lbs was 39%.
