Compared to last week feeder steers and heifers above 600 lbs sold 10.00 to 15.00 higher with instances sharply higher. Below 600 lbs, steers were mostly 5.00 to 10.00 higher and heifers steady to 6.00 higher. Yearling steers and heifers sold mostly steady. Demand was mostly very good for all feeder and yearling classes throughout the week with buyers showing best interest in weaned and preconditioned cattle. Slaughter cows sold mixed with instances ranging from 4.00 to 6.00 higher to 2.00 to 3.00 lower. Slaughter bulls were unevenly steady with instances 2.00 higher to 2.00 lower. Demand was good to very good for all slaughter classes.

Supply included: 83% Feeder Cattle (43% Steers, 0% Dairy Steers, 43% Heifers, 14% Bulls); 14% Slaughter Cattle (0% Steers, 1% Heifers, 86% Cows, 13% Bulls); 3% Replacement Cattle (3% Stock Cows, 43% Bred Cows, 28% Bred Heifers, 21% Cow-Calf Pairs, 3% Heifer Pairs, 2% Bulls). Feeder cattle supply over 600 lbs was 52%.
