Compared to last week, feeder steers and heifers sold mostly steady to 4.00 higher with good demand and active buyer participation. There were some markets trending lower, mostly where extreme heat affected supply and attracted fewer buyers. Slaughter cows and bulls sold mostly steady to 4.00 higher with good to very good demand.

Supply included: 81% Feeder Cattle (43% Steers, 2% Dairy Steers, 40% Heifers, 15% Bulls, 0% Dairy Heifers); 15% Slaughter Cattle (1% Steers, 0% Heifers, 83% Cows, 16% Bulls); 4% Replacement Cattle (3% Stock Cows, 57% Bred Cows, 5% Bred Heifers, 30% Cow-Calf Pairs, 4% Bulls). Feeder cattle supply over 600 lbs was 53%.
