Compared to last week, feeder steers sold mostly steady to 4.00 higher and heifers steady to 3.00 higher with instances for both steers and heifers to 3.00 lower mid-week. There was moderate to good demand for all feeder cattle, with moderate to good offerings and good buyer activity. Buyers showed best interest in weaned and preconditioned steers and heifers. Slaughter cows and bulls sold mostly steady to 4.00 lower with moderate to good demand. Wet and muddy conditions continued to affect some markets this week.

Supply included: 87% Feeder Cattle (38% Steers, 2% Dairy Steers, 46% Heifers, 15% Bulls); 8% Slaughter Cattle (0% Steers, 0% Heifers, 84% Cows, 16% Bulls); 5% Replacement Cattle (6% Stock Cows, 58% Bred Cows, 8% Bred Heifers, 25% Cow-Calf Pairs, 2% Bulls). Feeder cattle supply over 600 lbs was 49%.
