Compared to last week, feeder steers sold mostly steady to 4.00 higher feeder heifers steady to 3.00 higher with good to very good demand. Slaughter cows sold mostly steady to 3.00 higher with moderate to good demand and slaughter bulls mostly 1.00 to 4.00 higher with good to very good demand. Winter weather struck the region late in the week closing some markets and severely restricting cattle movement.

Supply included: 85% Feeder Cattle (36% Steers, 2% Dairy Steers, 44% Heifers, 19% Bulls); 10% Slaughter Cattle (0% Steers, 0% Heifers, 84% Cows, 15% Bulls); 4% Replacement Cattle (10% Stock Cows, 61% Bred Cows, 8% Bred Heifers, 20% Cow-Calf Pairs, 2% Bulls). Feeder cattle supply over 600 lbs was 45%.
