Compared to last week, slaughter cattle were mostly 1.00 to 3.00 higher. Feeder cattle were mostly steady. Demand was moderate; market activity and buyer interest were moderate. Offerings of cattle were moderate. Cattle quality was below average.
Supply included: 66% Feeder Cattle (18% Steers, 51% Heifers, 30% Bulls); 25% Slaughter Cattle (87% Cows, 13% Bulls); 8% Replacement Cattle (2% Stock Cows, 75% Bred Cows, 23% Cow-Calf Pairs). Feeder cattle supply over 600 lbs was 19%.
