Compared to last week, slaughter cattle were mostly 2 to 3 higher. Feeder cattle were mostly steady. Demand was moderate; market activity and buyer interest were moderate. Offerings of cattle was moderate. Cattle quality was average.
Supply included: 75% Feeder Cattle (22% Steers, 47% Heifers, 32% Bulls); 20% Slaughter Cattle (83% Cows, 17% Bulls); 5% Replacement Cattle (5% Stock Cows, 79% Bred Cows, 16% Cow-Calf Pairs). Feeder cattle supply over 600 lbs was 28%.
