Compared to last week, slaughter cows were 3.00 to 4.00 higher, while bulls were mostly steady. Feeder steers 4.00 to 12.00 higher, heifers were mostly 7.00 higher, while bulls were 12.00 to 16.00 higher. Demand was good; market activity and buyer interest were good. Offerings of cattle were high. Cattle quality was average to attractive.
Supply included: 82% Feeder Cattle (23% Steers, 53% Heifers, 24% Bulls); 16% Slaughter Cattle (88% Cows, 12% Bulls); 2% Replacement Cattle (50% Bred Cows, 50% Cow-Calf Pairs). Feeder cattle supply over 600 lbs was 19%.
