Compared to two weeks ago, breaking type slaughter cows were steady to 1.00 lower, while boning type slaughter cows and slaughter bulls were steady to 1.00 higher. Feeder steers were mostly 5.00 to 7.00 lower; heifers were unevenly steady; and feeder bulls were steady to 10.00 lower. Demand, market activity, and buyer interest were moderate. Offerings of cattle were mostly moderate. Cattle quality was plain to average.
Supply included: 74% Feeder Cattle (25% Steers, 50% Heifers, 25% Bulls); 21% Slaughter Cattle (87% Cows, 13% Bulls); 5% Replacement Cattle (26% Bred Cows, 17% Bred Heifers, 54% Cow-Calf Pairs, 3% Bulls). Feeder cattle supply over 600 lbs was 24%.
