Compared to last week, slaughter cows were mostly steady, while bulls were mostly 1.00 lower. Feeder cattle were mostly 2.00 to 5.00 lower. Demand was moderate; market activity and buyer interest were moderate. Offerings of cattle were fairly heavy. Cattle quality was mostly plain.
Supply included: 66% Feeder Cattle (30% Steers, 0% Dairy Steers, 38% Heifers, 32% Bulls); 28% Slaughter Cattle (89% Cows, 11% Bulls); 5% Replacement Cattle (14% Stock Cows, 45% Bred Cows, 41% Cow-Calf Pairs). Feeder cattle supply over 600 lbs was 25%.
