Compared to last week, slaughter cattle were mostly steady. Feeder cattle were mostly 2 to 10 lower. Demand was moderate; market activity and buyer interest were moderate. Offerings of cattle were moderate. Cattle quality was below average. Goat receipts were 5.
Supply included: 76% Feeder Cattle (31% Steers, 42% Heifers, 27% Bulls, 0% Dairy Heifers); 18% Slaughter Cattle (80% Cows, 20% Bulls); 7% Replacement Cattle (51% Bred Cows, 49% Cow-Calf Pairs). Feeder cattle supply over 600 lbs was 17%.
