Compared to last week slaughter cattle were steady to 2 cents lower. Feeder cattle were 4 to 8 cents higher. Demand was good; market activity and buyer interest were moderate. Offering of cattle were moderate. Cattle quality was average.
Supply included: 85% Feeder Cattle (40% Steers, 6% Dairy Steers, 34% Heifers, 19% Bulls); 14% Slaughter Cattle (91% Cows, 9% Bulls); 1% Replacement Cattle (100% Cow-Calf Pairs). Feeder cattle supply over 600 lbs was 25%.
