Compared to last week slaughter cattle were lightly tested, breaking type slaughter cows were 6.00 to 7.00 higher, boning type were steady to 1.00 higher, while slaughter bulls were 1.00 to 2.00 lower. Feeder cattle were mostly 3.00 to 6.00 higher. Demand was good; market activity and buyer interest were active. Offerings of cattle were light due to the threat of severe thunderstorms in the region. Cattle quality was average.
Supply included: 89% Feeder Cattle (34% Steers, 44% Heifers, 22% Bulls); 11% Slaughter Cattle (80% Cows, 20% Bulls). Feeder cattle supply over 600 lbs was 33%.
