Compared to two weeks ago slaughter cattle were mostly steady. Feeder cattle were sharply higher. Demand was good; market activity and buyer interest were active. Offering of cattle were moderate. Cattle quality was average.
Supply included: 78% Feeder Cattle (12% Steers, 3% Dairy Steers, 47% Heifers, 37% Bulls, 1% Dairy Heifers); 21% Slaughter Cattle (87% Cows, 13% Bulls); 1% Replacement Cattle (100% CowCalf Pairs). Feeder cattle supply over 600 lbs was 17%.
