Compared to last week, breaking type slaughter cows were steady to 1.00 higher, while boning type slaughter cows were steady to 1.00 lower and slaughter bulls were 1.00 to 2.00 lower. Feeder steers were mostly 4.00 to 7.00 higher; heifers mostly 3.00 to 8.00 higher; and feeder bulls were mostly 1.00 to 9.00 higher. Demand, market activity, and buyer interest were mostly moderate. Offerings of cattle were mostly moderate. Cattle quality was mostly average. Baby calves ranged 5.00 to 95.00 per head; "by the head" calves were 100.00 to 110.00.
Supply included: 71% Feeder Cattle (29% Steers, 0% Dairy Steers, 44% Heifers, 27% Bulls); 14% Slaughter Cattle (87% Cows, 13% Bulls); 1% Replacement Cattle (50% Bred Cows, 17% Bred Heifers, 30% Cow-Calf Pairs, 4% Bulls); 2% Slaughter Sheep/Lambs (67% Hair Breeds, 4% Ewes, 16% Hair Ewes, 3% Bucks, 9% Hair Bucks); 11% Slaughter Goats (59% Kids, 22% Nannies/Does, 16% Bucks/Billies, 3% Wethers); 0% Replacement Goats (100% Families). Feeder cattle supply over 600 lbs was 20%.
