Compared to last week, breaking type slaughter cows were steady to 1.00 higher, while boning type slaughter cows and slaughter bulls were steady to 1.00 lower. Feeder steers were mostly 2.00 to 6.00 lower; heifers were mostly 1.00 to 3.00 lower; four-weight feeder bulls were 5.00 to 7.00 lower, while five- and six-weights were mostly 1.00 to 3.00 higher. Demand was light to moderate; market activity and buyer interest were slow to moderate. Offerings of cattle were fairly light. Cattle quality was mostly average. Baby calves ranged 5.00 to 55.00 per head; "by the head" calves were 210.00.
Supply included: 56% Feeder Cattle (27% Steers, 1% Dairy Steers, 43% Heifers, 29% Bulls, 0% Dairy Heifers); 14% Slaughter Cattle (91% Cows, 9% Bulls); 1% Replacement Cattle (55% Bred Cows, 5% Bred Heifers, 38% Cow-Calf Pairs, 2% Bulls); 11% Slaughter Sheep/Lambs (4% Shorn, 1% Wooled, 68% Hair Breeds, 10% Ewes, 10% Hair Ewes, 4% Bucks, 3% Hair Bucks); 0% Replacement Sheep/Lambs (100% Families); 18% Slaughter Goats (61% Kids, 23% Nannies/Does, 12% Bucks/Billies, 4% Wethers). Feeder cattle supply over 600 lbs was 20%.
