Compared to last week, slaughter cattle were 1.00 to 3.00 higher. There were too few feeder cattle to establish an adequate market comparison, however a lower undertone was noted. Demand, market activity, and buyer interest were moderate. Offerings of cattle were light due to inclement weather. Cattle quality was mostly average.

Supply included: 65% Feeder Cattle (8% Steers, 2% Dairy Steers, 41% Heifers, 46% Bulls, 3% Dairy Heifers); 33% Slaughter Cattle (92% Cows, 8% Bulls); 2% Replacement Cattle (57% Bred Cows, 43% Cow-Calf Pairs). Feeder cattle supply over 600 lbs was 17%.
